Restarting Our Journey

Hey there, fellow adventurers! It's been a while since we last embarked on this journey together, but we're back and ready to groove once again. If you've been following our story, you know that our path to parenthood has been filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours. But like any good Disney movie, our tale is one of resilience, friendship, and the occasional llama transformation.

As most of you know, in the summer of 2022, we made our second attempt and it was unsuccessful—not for any scientific reason, it just didn't take.

After our second failed attempt, we found ourselves at a crossroads. The road ahead seemed daunting, and our hearts felt heavy with disappointment. We needed time to regroup, to heal, and to rediscover the magic within ourselves. So, we took a step back from the rollercoaster ride of fertility treatments and appointments, and we focused on us – on nurturing our relationship, on finding joy in the everyday moments, and on remembering why we embarked on this journey in the first place.

In the wise words of Emperor Kuzco, "You threw off my groove!" And boy, did we feel it. But sometimes, life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. It's how you catch them and throw them back that truly matters. So, armed with determination and a sprinkle of Disney magic, we set out to reclaim our groove.

As we journeyed through 2023, we laughed, we cried, and we leaned on each other when the weight of the world felt too heavy to bear. And slowly but surely, we began to heal.

Now, as we stand ready for a new chapter, we do so with hearts full of hope and excitement. We're not sure where this road will lead us, but we know that we're stronger together than we ever could be apart. And if there's one thing we've learned from our favorite Disney movies, it's that love conquers all – even the toughest of trials. Following the unsuccessful attempt in summer of 2022, our incredible embryo donors reached out to give us more embryos. As such, we've got two more and our gestational carrier has agreed to give it another go. Our doctor has a different approach that he's used in similar situations before. Our first kick-off meeting with him is later this month.

So, here we are, dear friends, dusting off our map, packing our bags, and preparing to set sail once more. Our destination may be uncertain, but our resolve is unwavering. And as we venture forth into the great unknown, we do so with the spirit of adventure in our hearts and the echoes of Pacha's wise words guiding our way: "Just keep moving forward, and don't look back."

Given the time that has passed and needing to restart a lot of things, the financial burden will be significant and would welcome any support you'd like to offer.
